After hearing the word "death" during a family dinner, a young girl believes her mother is going to die and calls upon higher powers to help prevent it. A creature answers her call and appears in her room; she is surprised to find that the creature is the same age as her and also does not know the meaning of death. Together, they embark on a mission to discover how to stop it.
